About...
This blog is written by the webmistress of the shoshanna.org site. You can find out more there if you really want to know, but in a nutshell: abuse survivor, forty-something, happily married, long struggles with anger, shame, guilt, rage, pain, self-loathing, and various other ills associated with being an abuse survivor, now trying very hard, as Saint Paul wrote, to learn to be content in any situation, that is, to be happy.
This blog is just a means of publically recording some of the things I have to be grateful for. Obviously, I can't and won't list everything, every day, and some days I may feel more or less grateful for one or another thing in my life, and I may even repeat myself, but I wanted to have a place to write these down. Yes, I keep a private journal, but making them public just seemed like something I could do that would not only make me just a bit more accountable, but which might also bring a bit of joy to someone else. But mostly it's for me, to remind myself, in a public way, that I have much to be grateful for, every single day, always.
I made a resolution to be happy, every day (I don't mean happy every moment of every day; that's probably impossible). Thinking about things for which I'm grateful goes a long way toward keeping that resolution.
